Case of the Mondays……..

So…I was going through some notes that I’d written earlier this year and came across this excerpt from April…….

“And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, o my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”  Matthew 26:39

We must get to the place where we earnestly declare that we want the will of God to be done in our lives.  Jesus also had to be put in the position where He made this declaration.  The thing is, He had to declare it, not only for Himself but for EVERYONE else.  I mean…think about it…Jesus….God…The Almighty…came to earth (from heaven) to declare that His will (which is good) be done in our favor.  We, on the other hand, declare for the sake of our own lives.  We must bring ourselves to understand that if God didn’t spare the life of His own Son (Romans 8:32)…His Spirit made flesh…just to save us,  what He has for us MUST be in order to better us…benefit us…keep us.  Out of obedience, Jesus gave His will unto God for us.  We gotta give our will to Him knowing that His is better.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:9

So…be encouraged in knowing that turning your will and desires over to Christ will benefit you, not take from you.  John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came that we “might have life”.  And not only did He intend for us to have life but He wants us to “have it more abundantly”.  Abundantly means in large quantities or plentifully.  So He wants us to have more than enough of what we need to survive.

Trust Him with your will.

Love y’all!  :-*
