Tonight, as I was writing and flipping through one of my current notebooks (I write in like 3 at a time… so what… LOL), I came across something that I wrote almost a year ago. September 8, 2017, to be exact. Now, I can’t recall if I’ve already posted it but I know that I needed to read it again tonight. So, I’ll share…….

“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Hebrews 11:3 (NLT)
When God creates and answers our prayers and fulfills promises, it won’t always be like building a house… you know, when all the materials are there in front of you. Sometimes, it will seem as if He will have to send our blessings out of thin air because, well, where else could they possibly come from? Lol… But seriously… No, God is not a genie, but we must recall that He spoke the entire universe into existence. He didn’t build it. He created it. With a word from His mouth. There was no magic wand, no blueprint, and no “drawing board” used or needed.
The entire first chapter of Genesis is full of “let there be… and there was” (go read it), proof that with just a word from God, any situation can change. Even one that seems to to be nothing at all. Psalms 33:9 says, “For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” So, in knowing that all He has to do is speak… we must allow His word to take precedent over our lives. And because His spirit dwells within us, we too have power to speak things. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11). This is why we must always be careful of what we say and speak over ourselves and/or the lives of others. Proverbs 18:21 says that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and thy that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
With the power that we possess, our words can make or break us! Our negative words can easily overshadow the speaking power of God in our situations, if we let it. We can “speak” ourselves out of blessings and favor that God promised us. And it isn’t that He takes them back, nope. But, it’s that our negativity and lack of belief can cause us to miss them.
Know that the creator of all, is handling your “special order” and that He had to make it from “scratch”… no preservatives or additives in this one! Just as He “created the heavens and earth” (Genesis 1:1), so is He creating the fulfillment of your promise. So, in this season, while waiting, remember that your promise is being fulfilled by the creator of all! Your order is being filled by the One that spoke into nothing and created EVERYTHING! Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. In fact, that may be the greatest indicator that it will.
